Free-to-play MMORPG Big Time has launched a limited-time event in which players can earn cryptocurrency rewards by crafting in-game items. The event, titled “It’s Almost Summer,” will run until June 23 at 18:00 UTC.
Participation in the event requires access to in-game NFTs and virtual land known as SPACE, both of which can be acquired through external marketplaces. Whilst the game itself is accessible without charge during its Open Access period, full participation in the event involves ownership of these digital assets.
Players who accumulate the highest number of crafting points during the event will receive a share of a 600,000 $BIGTIME token prize pool.

What is Big Time’s ‘It’s Almost Summer’ event?
The ‘It’s Almost Summer’ event is a crafting competition running from June 9 to June 23. During this period, players can earn leaderboard points by crafting eligible items within the game, including weapons, armour set pieces, decorative items, and Hourglasses.
Only items designated as PreSeason gear qualify for event points such as Egyptian, Arthurian, and Evermore decorations, as well as full sets of armour and weapons. Players who complete a full set of either the Mantle of the Onyx Throne or the Vestments of the Cosmic Dominion—at Uncommon rarity or higher—will receive a one-time bonus of 15,000 points per set, which can be claimed twice.
At the end of the event, the 150 players with the highest point totals will receive a share of 600,000 $BIGTIME tokens.
How to participate in the event?
To take part in the event, players need access to several specific in-game systems:
- SPACE: A form of virtual land that allows players to install crafting structures.
- Workshops: NFTs that connect to SPACE and enable item crafting. These include Forges (for weapons), Armories (for armour), and Time Wardens (for Hourglasses).
- Materials: Items such as Cosmetic Shards, which are obtained through gameplay, and Time Crystals, which can be purchased or earned through loot drops.
Crafting also requires $BIGTIME tokens, especially for cosmetic items. The process of refining raw materials and assembling gear involves both gameplay and economic resources, which may limit access to players who do not hold the necessary NFTs.
The event includes additional challenges that offer fixed leaderboard point rewards. The first set of weekly tasks, active until June 16 at 18:00 UTC, includes:
- Opening two Scarecrow chests (750 points)
- Crafting two Hourglasses of any rarity (1,000 points)
- Opening boss chests from four Prestige Portals (1,000 points)
A separate short-term bonus period, called Midweek Madness, runs until 12 June. During this time, players receive twice the usual leaderboard points for crafting certain decorations and get a 20% boost when refining Tattered Obulus into Gilded Obulus.
