Duper—a social strategy game hosted on the Abstract Chain—has officially begun its fifth season from May 27 to July 28.
The new season introduces a free cash airdrop aimed at both new players and those who were inactive during the previous season, allowing them to try the game with real-money rewards.
Alongside the airdrop, the update brings several enhancements including always-on Casual mode, new season passes, improved matchmaking, and a planned mobile launch for Android and iOS during the season.

What is Duper?
Duper is a multiplayer social war game on Abstract, featuring a five-player free-for-all matches where players can wager real money in various game modes.
Inspired by strategic and tactical games such as Teamfight Tactics, Catan, and Among Us, Duper allows users to compete in ranked and casual matches.
Players earn rewards in the form of “Chips,” the in-game currency, which can be wagered or withdrawn subject to certain conditions. The game plans to expand its accessibility with a mobile version launching for Android and iOS within Season 5.
What’s new in Season 5?
Season 5 introduces several updates and additions designed to improve gameplay and user engagement:
- Free Cash Airdrop: Eligible inactive players (those who played fewer than three games in Season 4) and all new players receive three 1-Chip vouchers worth $3 total. These vouchers allow users to play Casual mode matches without initial risk and expire at the end of the season. Additional vouchers can be earned by completing training and playing Casual matches.
- Casual Mode Live 24/7: The game’s Casual mode is now accessible around the clock with wagers starting as low as $1. This mode has improved matchmaking that allows players to select recommended time ranges to reduce waiting times.
- AI Bots: Friendly AI bots have been added to speed up matchmaking for real-money Custom games, enabling faster queues.
- Season Passes: Two tiers of season passes are available for purchase. The Gold Pass costs $15 and offers up to $92.50 in direct rewards excluding earnings from matches. The Platinum Pass costs $80, geared towards dedicated players, and offers up to $248 in rewards. Both passes provide cashback in Chip vouchers, unlockable milestone rewards, daily quests, and access to loss subsidy raffles. Players can upgrade from Gold to Platinum during the season for an additional $65.
- User Interface and Experience Improvements: The UI/UX has been overhauled, new tutorials added, and the rewards system refined. Chips have been unified as the currency across Ranked and Casual modes.
- Payment Updates: US players can now make bank payments and withdrawals, expanding accessibility.
- Mobile Launch: A mobile version for Android and iOS is expected to go live approximately one to two weeks after the start of the season.
How to participate in Duper Season 5?
To join Season 5, players can register on Duper’s official website via Abstract wallet, email, phone, Google, or Discord. After creating a username and completing the tutorial, players enter 5-player free-for-all matches.
To qualify for the Duper Bowl tournament held after the season, players must:
- Hold a season pass (Gold or Platinum)
- Accumulate a Duper Bowl balance of $160, which can be achieved by earning $100 through gameplay with the platform matching $60, or by directly topping up.
- Reach at least Bronze Status, which requires earning 500 experience points (XP). XP is gained by depositing Chips or paying entry fees for matches and purchasing Gold Keys.
Players start at Iron status and progress through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Super Duper tiers based on XP.
When playing Ranked and Casual matches, players can choose to “Contribute” 50% of their net earnings toward their Duper Bowl balance. No contributions are made on losses, and contributions cease once $100 is reached.
The Duper Bowl begins after Season 5 with an initial prize pool of $3,000, which grows as players contribute. All qualified players have a chance to win a share of the prize pool, irrespective of skill level.
