Dylan Wade To Release ‘State of Humans’ on December 12

Noted digital artist Dylan Wade has revealed that his latest series, State of Humans, will drop on December 12 via MakersPlace.

Consisting of five 1-of-1 NFT artworks priced between 1.25 and 2.5 ETH, the collection will coincide with an exhibition at the Colonna Contemporary Art Gallery, located in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Two of the five pieces have been purchased ahead of the public sale, with interest high in this first release from the MakersPlace residency.

Who is artist Dylan Wade?

Dylan Wade is a US-based digital artist, whose works are – in his own words – all about “converting nostalgia into art through precisionalism and regionalism.”

His works, in both static pieces and looping animations, are pulled from feelings, memories and emotions captured through “hundreds of personal videos”, with the hope that “viewers will find their own memories in my work.”

Active in the NFT industry since 2019, his work has been exhibited at the likes of Times Square, the Diapo Gallery, and Artspace Raleigh to name a few.

What is State of Humans by Dylan Wade?

State of Humans Vol. 1 is the latest release of digital artworks from Dylan Wade, consisting of five 1-of-1 NFTs.

Each piece captures a slice of modern life through the eyes of Wade. Highlights include Glimpses, which offers a look into the lives of a small cohort of city residents, Comfort, which paints a stark image of consumerism, and Doom, an animated piece which captures the modern phenomenon of doom-scrolling.

Glimpses and Comfort have been sold prior to the public release on December 12, with Progress Tryptych (2.5 ETH for 3 pieces), Communication (1.25 ETH) and Doom (1.5 ETH) remaining.
