Created in collaboration with generative artist @mknol, the NFTs feature an array of 2D undead avatars, and are purported to have an array of utility – although details have yet to be revealed.
This follows Etherlink’s previous NFT release, gm to everyone etherlinking, which launched on Rarible last week.
How do I acquire an Undead Lunatics NFT?
Those who minted the gm to everyone etherlinking NFT last week, along with users who previously shared their wallets via promotions on X, will be granted a six-hour allowlist window starting at 14 UTC on November 8.
These allowlist participants can mint the Undead Lunatics NFT at a price of 3.5 $XTZ. Public minting opens at 20 UTC, priced at 5 $XTZ.
Users can fund their Etherlink wallets through either the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Bridge or the Tezos Bridge. The EVM Bridge allows USDC or ETH to be exchanged for $XTZ via IguanaDEX, whilst the Tezos Bridge allows users to connect Etherlink to MetaMask, allowing for tokens to be bridged to Etherlink directly.
Over 6,000 gm to everyone etherlinking NFTs were minted last week, giving them a significant advantage or this Undead Lunatics NFT drop.
What utility do Undead Lunatics NFTs have?
Details have yet to be revealed on the exact utility of the Undead Lunatics NFT collection.
With only 2,000 NFTs available – as compared to the open mint of last week’s gm to everyone etherlinking NFT – there are rumours that Undead Lunatics could be the official membership NFT of Etherlink, with holders set to receive particular perks – though this remains to be seen.
In any case, Etherlink’s Layer-2 solution looks to continue to drive innovation on Ethereum, making both onboarding and engagement simpler, faster and easier for everyone.
