Fishing Frenzy Season 2 Launches with Gameplay and System Updates

Source: Fishing Frenzy

Season 2 of the web3 fishing game ‘Fishing Frenzy’ is now live with several updates to address issues from the previous season, including fairness in leaderboards and the growing role of automated activity.

Developed by Uncharted and operating on the Ronin network, Fishing Frenzy is one of several games built around asset ownership and player-driven economies. With Season 2, the game introduces new items and locations whilst maintaining certain progress-linked advantages from earlier play.

A new segmented leaderboard system and updated in-game mechanics suggest a shift towards more controlled, rule-based competition. At the same time, additional in-game features are designed to maintain user engagement through seasonal resets and limited-time rewards.

What is Fishing Frenzy?

Fishing Frenzy is a fishing role-playing game built on the Ronin network that allows players to catch virtual fish, cook recipes, and earn points based on in-game activity.

Unlike traditional mobile games, Fishing Frenzy includes a point-based economy where players earn Frenzy Points, which are used to rank on seasonal leaderboards. Higher ranks typically correspond to in-game rewards. The game also supports equipment upgrades, including fishing rods with specific attributes.

Seasonal resets are used to refresh competition, whilst some user progress—such as VIP status or accumulated points—carries over between seasons.
