10,000-piece NFT collection Doodles has announced the launch of music label Doodles Records, in partnership with Sony-owned distribution company, The Orchard.
For its debut EP, Doodles Records will be publishing the soundtrack for animated special Dullsville and the Doodleverse, scheduled to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival later this year.
This three-track EP will include “Not in the Store” by Coi Leray, “Can’t Hold Me Down” by Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty, and Kyle Richh, and “Doodleverse (Draw Me Closer)” by Swae Lee, Lil Yachty, and Pharrell Williams – with each track to be released with an animated music video, created by Golden Wolf and directed by Doodles founder Burnt Toast.
What is Dullsville and the Doodleverse?
Dullsville and the Doodleverse is the first animated short film set in the Doodles universe, and is scheduled to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024.
Produced by Doodles-owned animation studio Golden Wolf, the announcement trailer was released on July 17, taking viewers to the town of Dullsville, where imagination is controlled by the corporation Dream Pump Industries.
The protagonists, Hap and his cat Mello, navigate a world of dull routines until a chance encounter transports them into the Doodleverse, a realm of boundless imagination. Hap must overcome his self-doubt and harness his creativity to return home, forever changing life in Dullsville.

In addition to the announcement of Doodles Records, Doodles have also launched DoodlesTV, a platform to provide fans and holders early access to music releases and video premieres.
