This news comes as Igloo Inc. – the parent company of Pudgy Penguins – prepares to expand on its physical product lineup via the refreshed Lil Pudgys brand later this year.
Two years on from their debut in May 2023, the Pudgy Penguins toy line is unquestionably the most successful physical product release in Web3 history – and continues to play a major role in the expansion of the Pudgy Penguins brand to this day.

What is Pudgy Penguins?
Pudgy Penguins is a collection of 8,888 NFT penguins on the Ethereum blockchain, minted in July 2021.
Created by four college students – Cole Villemain (@ColeThereum), Clayton Patterson (@mrtubby), MickyJ and Jonah – the collection demonstrated much potential, but had a rocky first year post-mint.
Luca Netz acquired Pudgy Penguins in April 2022, and gave the collection a clear goal: “spreading positivity and joy to as many people as possible” – laying the foundations for the Pudgy character to become the core of a globally-recognised brand.
Pudgy Penguins debuted its toy line in May 2023, and has gone on to sell millions of physical products to customers all over the world, becoming the first NFT collection to truly bridge the gap into the mainstream consumer market.
As of writing, Pudgy Penguins sit at a floor price of 9.30 ETH – roughly $27,000 USD. Lil Pudgys, a 22,222-piece companion NFT collection on Ethereum, currently sits at a floor price of 1.16 ETH – roughly $3,350 USD.
How is Pudgy Penguins expanding in 2025?
Igloo Inc. – the parent company of Pudgy Penguins – have revealed ambitious plans to grow the brand across 2025 and beyond.
Upon the debut of the Lil Pudgys animated series in May 2025, @chefgoyardi, Creative Lead at Igloo Inc., revealed that the team had spent six months building a “unique identity” for the Lil Pudgys brand “that resonates with children and tweens”.
He would go on to state that in future, we can expect more animated episodes, digital and IRL experiences, and an “original product line” for Lil Pudgys with “vibrant colours and playful designs” targeted at a younger audience.
Concurrently, Pudgy Penguins continues to promote its recently-released hybrid physical and digital trading card game Vibes, and is partnering with a growing list of both traditional brands and Web3 projects, including NASCAR, My Neighbor Alice, PEZ and many more.
