A new month-long blockchain gaming campaign, Starknet x gg.xyz Gaming Edition One, is currently underway, offering players the opportunity to earn a share of $100,000 in rewards.
Running from 15 May to 15 June 2025, the event invites participants to complete quests across a range of six web3 games built on the Starknet network. Players accumulate experience points (XP) by engaging in various activities such as gameplay, livestream participation, and on-chain events.
The campaign includes both token and NFT rewards, with prize pools divided between $STRK tokens and game-specific prizes.
What is Starknet x gg.xyz Gaming Edition One?
Starknet x gg.xyz Gaming Edition One is a collaborative initiative between Starknet, a layer 2 scaling solution on Ethereum, and gg.xyz, a community platform and launchpad.
The campaign aims to encourage participation in blockchain games by providing rewards for completing tasks and climbing leaderboards. The total prize pool amounts to $100,000, split roughly equally between $STRK tokens and prizes contributed by participating games.
The event features six initial titles developed within the Starknet ecosystem, with more expected to be added.
- Eternum S1: A grand strategy MMO where players build and manage villages or realms, competing for $LORDS tokens.
- Dark Shuffle: A roguelike deck-building game with procedurally generated maps and card-based combat.
- Blob Arena: A turn-based tactical combat game playable on web browsers and mobile devices, with a planned $50,000 reward allocation starting 7 June.
- zKube: A blockchain version of a puzzle game similar to Tetris, playable on browsers and mobile platforms.
- Pistols at Dawn: A browser-based 2D dueling game featuring strategic shoot and dodge mechanics recorded on-chain.
- Jokers of Neon: A free-to-play roguelike card game combining deckbuilding and poker elements, currently in early access.
How to participate in the event?
To join the campaign, players must create an account on the gg.xyz platform and mint a Quest ID, which tracks their progress and XP accumulation across games. Participants need to connect compatible Starknet wallets such as Argent or Cartridge to engage in quests and other campaign activities.
Players earn XP primarily by completing in-game quests but can also gain points through additional activities like Creator and Guild Quests, Ambassador Bounties, and attending livestream events. XP rankings determine the distribution of rewards, with the highest-ranked players receiving the largest shares.
The top five participants on the leaderboard receive an additional 10% bonus reward.
