What is Treeverse?
Treeverse is a multiplayer online game developed by Endless Clouds.
The game uses a top-down perspective and does not feature traditional character classes. It incorporates blockchain-based systems to support digital ownership of in-game assets. Whilst built primarily for mobile devices, Treeverse also supports cross-platform play on PC.
The game is currently in alpha and available via the Epic Games Store, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store. Endless Clouds plans to continue expanding the game and its ecosystem, with the $END token intended as a central feature.
How till $END tokens function in the game?
According to the whitepaper, $END will operate as the premium in-game currency across all titles in the Endless Clouds ecosystem, starting with Treeverse. It will be used to access cosmetic items and exclusive content not available through standard gameplay progression.
The foundation states that $END may also be used in future digital or physical product sales, such as NFTs or merchandise. However, details on this remain limited.
Whilst the total supply is fixed at 500 million tokens, the current version of the whitepaper does not include a detailed allocation breakdown. It does note that a majority of the supply will go toward community rewards, including seasonal gameplay events, campaign participation, and prize pools.
What else can we expect from the game?
Treeverse remains in active development and is currently playable in an alpha state. The development team recently shared plans for a Season 2 update and continues to publish monthly development updates.
The game’s developers have raised $6.25 million in funding from a range of blockchain and gaming investors inclusing Animoca Brands, Sky Mavis co-founder Jeff Zirlin, Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz, and AAVE founder Stani Kulechov.
Further information on both the game and token ecosystem, including the complete $END tokenomics, is expected ahead of the token’s official launch.
