Web3 MOBA title MagicCraft has joined blockchain gaming platform HyperPlay, launching its most significant update so far.
Built on the BNB Smart Chain, and available on PC, iOS and Android, the game revolves around fast-paced MOBA gameplay, where decision-making and strategy get players ahead.
Alongside the launch on HyperPlay, MagicCraft has introduced a new currency system, customisation options, and changes to competitive play.
What is MagicCraft?
MagicCraft is a fast-paced MOBA title, built on the BNB Smart Chain, and available on PC, iOS and Android.
Players team up and select from one of a roster of characters to enter the battlefield, working together to take down the enemy team and secure victory.
By playing the game, players can earn $MCRT tokens. These tokens can be used to purchase additional champions and a range of cosmetic skins – many of which have been introduced through this latest update.
MagicCraft is now available to play via the HyperPlay platform. This platform allows players to connect popular wallets – such as MetaMask and WalletConnect – for seamless interactions with the $MCRT token.
What’s new in the latest update?
The latest update – introduced alongside the game’s debut on HyperPlay – brings a number of key updates.
MagicDust, a new in-game currency, can now be earned through achievements and daily log-ins, allowing players to unlock characters without the need for $MCRT tokens. Players earn 100,000 MagicDust – enough to unlock two of the game’s 19 characters – by installing the update.
Gems are a new premium in-game currency. These allow players to purchase cosmetic items and weapons through in-app purchases, opening the doors to a range of new customisation options.
For competitive players, a new leaderboard now tracks the top 500 players worldwide. Future updates will reward the top players with blockchain-based rewards, such as NFTs and $MCRT tokens.
The update also fixes several key technical issues such as unresponsive character abilities, introduces a live score display, and features optimised audio for improved immersion.
