Renowned NFT artist Beeple has revealed SELECT START, the next live event to be held at Beeple Studios, which will take place on March 29, 2025.
SELECT START is a free-to-attend event that’s described as “a celebration of art and gaming”. Guests will be able to enjoy game tournaments and exhibitions of the latest titles, as well as a community art showcase, art competitions and much more.
To cap off SELECT SELECT, and in typical Beeple Studios style, Beeple himself will create the latest piece in his Everydays series – a daily edition of artworks that began in May 2007 – live at the event.
What is Beeple Studios?
Beeple Studios is a 50,000 sq ft venue that consists of event space, labs, collaboration areas and offices, situated in Charleston, North Carolina.
Created by NFT artist Beeple, and opened in March 2023, Beeple Studios is the home for all of Beeple’s digital art, events, collaborations and more. The space has become hallowed ground in both the digital art and NFT spaces, with the venue fast-becoming the place to go to meet esteemed artists and participate in culturally-significant events.
Beeple Studios has hosted a number of big events for the NFT and digital art communities – many of which have been open to the public. Examples include PepeFest 2024 – a celebration of the popular internet meme – and his 2024 U.S. election night watch party which featured a live Everydays, DJs, competitions and more.
What can we expect at SELECT START?
Beeple Studios describes SELECT START as “a night celebrating the intersection of art and gaming“. They further explain that “video games have had a profound impact on digital art from the aesthetics to the tools and workflows” and that “this event aims to explore all the ways these two mediums have influenced each other.”
The event will include an “immersive live video game tournament”, alongside live art competitions, game art and blockchain art exhibitions, a live Everydays piece from Beeple and much more. As it’s hosted by Beeple, there’s certain to be some surprises in store too!
SELECT START will be held at Beeple Studios in Charleston, North Carolina from 6PM to midnight on March 29, 2025. Prospective attendees can RSVP for free, with the event open to everyone aged 21 and over.
