CryptoPunk 2967 has received numerous bids in the past six months, with the highest being an offer of 650 ETH – equivalent to $2.33 million USD – on December 2, 2024. This sale came just one day after an offer of 550 ETH – $1.1 million USD – was rejected by the holder.

Created by Larva Labs in June 2017, each NFT features an algorithmically-generated pixel-art avatar that features a number of traits – such as gender, accessories and more.
Three of these traits are seen as the rarest, and therefore the most coveted; Alien Punks – of which there are 9, Ape Punks – of which there are 24, and the trait that applies to CryptoPunk 2967, Zombie Punks.
88 so-called Zombie Punks exist in the CryptoPunks NFT collection. These avatars feature green skin and red eyes, and are some of the most desirable NFTs in the entire collection.
