Who is DePrØm?
DePrØm is a pseudonymous visionary artist who leverages AI to create retro-inspired futuristic works.
To date, he has created 6 collections across Foundation and Rodeo, exploring such themes as fashion – both high-street fast fashion and avant-garde pieces – human beauty, botanical forms, the surreal and much more.
In a self-description, he describes his work as “blending vintage aesthetics with glitch and collage-like elements… that evoke both nostalgia and modernity.
“[My] pieces play with textures and layering, creating a fusion of past and future that invites viewers to explore the intersection of organic beauty and digital innovation.”
What is Life Within the Grooves?
Released on November 26, Life Within the Grooves is DePrØm’s latest collection, minted on the Base blockchain, and available on Foundation.
Featuring 10 unique one-of-one NFT artworks, each piece depicts “the idea of representing the grooves of a vinyl record magnified thousands of times as valleys, vivid and with their own microscopic ecosystems,” inspired by DePrØm’s musical background.
Within each piece – which features a minimal colour palette – viewers can see the trademark valleys, but also evidence of civilisation; buildings, forestry, oil rigs and more, coming together to make intriguing, thought-provoking and harmonious works of art.
