Grand strategy MMO Eternum has officially entered Season 1, introducing a host of new features alongside sought-after Season Pass NFTs.
Available for free to Realms NFT holders, or on the secondary market for non-holders, these Season Pass NFTs allow players to become a Realms Lord. Once the Settling Phase begins on May 7, these players will be able to place their Realm in a strategic position on the game map – ahead of the Empire Phase on May 14.
Season 1 also introduces a low-stakes way to play the game by becoming a Village Lord, and the arrival of AI NPCs – powered by Daydreams – that will wander the Eternum map. These AI NPCs will provide varied opportunities for engagement, from chat and negotiation to battles and loot.

What is Eternum?
Eternum is a Civilization-esque grand strategy MMO, built on Starknet, and available to play via browser.
Developed by the Realms.World team, players enter a large-scale tile-based map to achieve either military of economic domination. Build armies and embark on total conquest, or seize control of valuable supplies and control the flow of the economy – the choice is yours.
As with other experiences in the Realms.World library, players can acquire both $LORDS – the native token of Realms.World – and $STRK – the ecosystem token of Starknet, through play.

What’s new in Eternum Season 1?
On top of the aforementioned introduction of Village Lords, Realms Lords and the Daydreams-powered AI NPCs, returning players will notice an overhaul of prior core systems.
Combat now takes place in real-time, adding all-new elements of strategy to your military conquest. Battles are fast-paced and stamina-based, with shrewd army positioning, terrain use and stamina control being crucial to success.
Troop production has also been refreshed, with the new Labor mechanic helping players to more effectively manage their supply chain – keeping the focus on strategy, rather than resource management. Troops are now classed into three different tiers – Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 – that reflect their overall strength in combat.
The Season Pass phase is now open, allowing Realms NFT holders to acquire a free Season Pass NFT – and giving non-holders the opportunity to acquire one on the secondary market. The Settling Phase begins on May 7, allowing Realms and Villages to be placed on the map, with the Empire Phase – enabling the full experience – to begin on May 14.
Across Season 1, a total of 1 million $LORDS and 100,000 $STRK tokens will be up for grabs.
