Web3 MOBA Evermoon have announced a rebrand of the project to Evermoon Games, marking a shift in direction from building a single competitive title to developing a wider entertainment ecosystem.
The studio plans to expand its offerings beyond core gameplay to include casual games, user quests, AI-generated content, and creator tools. Evermoon Games aims to reduce dependency on one flagship product by creating multiple, smaller-scale offerings with more sustainable revenue models.
Whilst the original MOBA game remains in development, the rebrand positions the studio as a multi-product gaming and content platform.

Why is Evermoon rebranding?
According to the developers, the rebrand reflects a desire to build a more resilient and scalable development model. They stated that focusing on a single large-scale game presents financial and production risks, particularly in a volatile market. Instead, the team is choosing to invest in multiple smaller products that can provide more consistent income and flexibility.
“Web3 alone isn’t enough anymore, especially when it’s treated like just a financial tool. Good games take time, especially one on the scale of a competitive 5v5. Instead of betting everything on one huge launch, we’re choosing the smarter, more sustainable and higher potential path: Multiple games. Real revenue. A studio model that scales!”
By adopting a broader focus, Evermoon Games hopes to remain active and solvent even during periods of low market activity, rather than relying solely on hype cycles or token launches.

What can we expect from Evermoon Games?
The new direction includes a range of in-development and already-released features. Casual titles such as Axolt’s Escape are already live, and a new roguelike tower defense game, Cat vs Cucumber, is in progress. The Moon Mission platform allows players to complete tasks in exchange for digital rewards, and AI-generated VTuber streams are available around the clock.
The company also plans to launch its own ecosystem token, $EVM, which it says will be tied to product-based revenue rather than speculative value alone. Airdrops for early supporters are planned, alongside future marketplace events and asset-based reward systems.
Testing for the original 5v5 MOBA title is expected soon, but no fixed timelines have been announced. In parallel, the studio is running the DeFAI Launchpad, a separate platform where users can delegate staking and trading functions to an AI system.
Backed by companies such as Square Enix and Soneium, Evermoon Games continues to develop and expand its platform.
