Gary Vaynerchuk, entrepreneur and founder of the VeeFriends NFT collection, has shared an image on X depicting a box of upcoming Topps Chrome VeeFriends trading cards, purported to arrive in 2025.
Should this collaboration between Topps and VeeFriends be formally announced, this would mark the first time that VeeFriends has collaborated directly with the trading card giant. Previous VeeFriends physical trading card releases having been produced by zerocool, the trading card arm of Fanatics, which was recently acquired by Topps.
No official announcement has been made on a collaboration between Topps x VeeFriends, and as such, no release date has yet to be shared regarding these physical trading cards.
What is VeeFriends?
VeeFriends is a collection of 10,255 art NFTs, minted on the Ethereum blockchain.
Created by Gary Vaynerchuk, and minted in May 2021, each of the 283 VeeFriends characters represents a quality that Vaynerchuk hopes to inspire in others. The project has expanded from NFT collectibles into a global brand in its own right, spanning animations, comics, physical trading cards and in-person events, all spearheaded by Vaynerchuk.
April 2022 saw the release of the VeeFriends Series 2 collection, adding 55,510 additional Ethereum-based NFTs into the brand’s arsenal, opening up a lower-cost entry-point into the VeeFriends ecosystem.
At the time of writing, VeeFriends Series 1 NFTs sit at a floor price of 1.228 ETH (roughly $3,330 USD), whilst VeeFriends Series 2 NFTs sit at a floor price of 0.0538 ETH (roughly $150 USD).

What do we know about Topps Chrome x VeeFriends so far?
Little is known about the collaboration between Topps and VeeFriends so far. The only information available comes from Vaynerchuk’s recent tweet, a “coming soon” graphic on the VeeFriends website, and a sign-up page where you can enter your email for the latest updates on the release.
According to the branding presented thus far, the Topps x VeeFriends collaboration will be created through the Topps Chrome brand. Started in 1996, Topps Chrome is Topps’ premium card line that uses chromium paper to produce physical trading cards that have a metallic look and feel. Cards produced under the Topps Chrome line have become a favourite of collectors over the years for their eye-catching look and premium appearance.
As of writing, no further information has been made available thus far – but given Vaynerchuk’s recent tweet, we can anticipate more details on the Topps x VeeFriends collaboration to arrive soon.
