Who is Ilya Bliznets?
Ilya Bliznets is a Russian-born contemporary digital artist and painter.
His art spans both static and animated works, fusing pop culture iconography with surrealist scenes. Using an array of bright colours, human-like figures and scenarios that are open to interpretation, Bliznets leans into subjective explanations of his digital collectibles that lean into self-reflection and observations by the artist.
Beginning his artistic journey in 2017, Bliznets became a member of the Cosi o cosa art group, a trio of rising artists that collaborated on numerous group exhibitions, alongside two solo exhibitions in his early career.
