Popular Telegram-based gaming platform Notcoin have announced Not Pixel Battle, an art-based tournament to be held within their Not Pixel tap-to-earn game.
Running until November 30, the tournaments sees players paint pixels on a shared digital canvas – similar to Reddit‘s r/place or Bored Ape Yacht Club‘s THE BATHROOM – with various communities competing against one another through a series of elimination rounds.
The victors of Not Pixel Battle will be awarded with a “Golden Pixel” prize – with top players receiving an allocation of the game’s soon-to-launch $PX token.
What is the Not Pixel Battle tournament?
Not Pixel Battle pits 1,024 players of the Not Pixel game against one another in a battle for digital supremacy.
Each community of players will use a unique stencil template, with the aim to cover as much of the canvas as possible to beat their opponents. The successful community will move on, whilst the losing community will be knocked out.
As communities progress, individual players will earn a series of rewards, such as the Golden Pixel trophy for the ultimate victors, and allocations of $PX tokens for successful players.
What impact will Not Pixel Battle have?
The Notcoin team are excited about the engagement that could come with the Not Pixel Battle tournament, especially as they steam towards the release of the $PX token.
“Notcoin together with other teams continue to create new cool experiences for Telegram communities,” said Notcoin founder Sasha Plotvinov. “People join together to represent themselves, their creativity, and their loyalty on a single live canvas, uniting in the competition to paint and win territory.”
$PX would be the second token created by the Notcoin team, after the release of $NOT in May 2024. The Notcoin team are widely considered to be one of the originators of the Telegram-based tap-to-earn gaming trend that exploded in popularity across 2024, and remains popular as we enter 2025.
