Popular NFT collection Pudgy Penguins have announced that they will be returning to Art Basel Miami 2024 for their fourth straight appearance.
To celebrate, Pudgy have held a trio of “winner takes all” tournaments via their Pudgy Poker app, with the winners receiving cash prizes as well as flights and tickets to the event.
Art Basel Miami 2024 is set to be held from December 6 to December 8.
What is Art Basel?
Art Basel is one of the world’s leading art fairs, giving artists and galleries a platform to exhibit and promote their work.
Holding an annual event in four cities each year – Hong Kong, Basel, Paris and Miami – the Miami fair closes out the year in spectacular style with high-profile exhibitions, experiences and side events.
This will be the fourth straight year in which Pudgy Penguins have had a presence at Art Basel Miami, either officially or via side events. Previous editions have seen Pudgy hold exclusive merch drops, host private parties, reveal Pudgy-themed sculptures and fine art, and much more.
How could Pudgy Poker players get to Art Basel Miami 2024?
From November 15-17, a series of daily tournaments were held via the Pudgy Poker app.
These tournaments – open to Pudgy Penguins holders – gave the winner a $1,700 USD prize, as well as flights and tickets to Art Basel Miami 2024, to attend the event as a guest of the Pudgy Penguins team.
Pudgy Penguins have yet to reveal what they will be exhibiting at Art Basel Miami 2024 – but given their track record over the past four years, we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store.
