Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, has announced that its second-generation smartphone, the Solana Seeker, will start shipping to customers on 4 August 2025.
The device is designed to support web3 applications and blockchain gaming, expanding on the capabilities of its predecessor, the Solana Saga. The Seeker has already seen significant interest, with 150,000 units pre-sold through two sales phases.
The phone incorporates a new security and operating framework called TEEPIN and will be accompanied by a native token called SKR.

What is Solana Seeker?
The Solana Seeker is Solana Mobile’s second smartphone built to facilitate interaction with blockchain networks and dApps. It runs on an architecture called TEEPIN (Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network), which integrates hardware, platform software, and network elements to provide a secure environment based on cryptographic verification.
The device supports a self-custodial crypto wallet developed in partnership with Solflare, allowing users to manage their digital assets independently. It also features an updated Solana dApp Store 2.0, offering applications related to payments, DeFi, NFTs, artificial intelligence, and gaming. Some of these apps will be exclusive to Solana Mobile devices.
Each phone mints a unique, non-transferable NFT known as the Seeker Genesis Token, which grants access to specific content and rewards within the Solana ecosystem.
In terms of hardware, the Seeker is equipped with:
- MediaTek Dimensity 7300 octa-core processor
- 8GB of RAM
- 128GB of storage using UFS 3.1 technology
- A 6.36-inch AMOLED display with 2670×1200 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate
- A 4500mAh battery supporting wireless charging
- Connectivity options including 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 6

What’s next for Solana Mobile?
Solana Mobile’s initial smartphone, the Saga, launched in April 2023. Although it faced criticism early on due to network performance issues with Solana’s blockchain, the device saw increased demand later in the year. Secondary market prices for the Saga rose as users engaged in memecoin trading via the device’s wallets.
With the Seeker, Solana Mobile aims to provide a more robust and secure platform for web3 activities, including gaming. Whilst no specific blockchain games have been officially announced for the Seeker, the presence of a dedicated gaming section in the updated dApp Store indicates plans to support this sector.
The company is also preparing to launch a native token called SKR, intended to provide users and developers with a stake in the platform’s ecosystem.
