Popular metaverse title The Sandbox have announced that all Avatar owners can claim an exclusive cosmetic asset this month: The Sandbox Supersuit.
All Avatar owners, prior to the August 28 snapshot, have until September 30 to claim their cosmetic rewards. This includes avatars from the official NFT collection from The Sandbox, or an avatar from bridged collections, including Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mocaverse, Moonbirds and more.
Once the Supersuit has been claimed, holders can participate in this month’s exclusive challenge to receive 5 $SAND tokens.
What is The Sandbox?
The Sandbox is an online multiplayer metaverse title, available on PC and Mac.
Players traverse a user-owned and user-created online world, filled with officially-licensed shops, experiences and games. Land owners can develop their holdings as they see fit, with the ability to earn $SAND by creating engaging experiences and in-game assets, or by playing games, completing quests, or participating in events.
The developers are currently working on a mobile version for iOS and Android, with an expected release date yet to be announced.
How can I earn 5 $SAND tokens?
Once you have claimed The Sandbox Supersuit – which consists of The Hero’s Crown, the Heroic Chestplate with Cape, Heroic Empowered Leggings, and Heroic Valiant Sleeves – players should take a screenshot of their character in any experience within The Sandbox.
This screenshot can then be posted to the Avatar Owner September Rewards Event page, and so long as your account is KYC’d, you will receive 5 $SAND.
Each month, avatar holders have the opportunity to claim more free cosmetics and earn more $SAND for simple tasks. In the meantime, their Experiences of the Week can reward a share of 10,000 $SAND, with details on the eligible experiences available via The Sandbox’s feed on X.
